A Little Knowledge Goes a Long Way

What do two pet sitters, two owners of therapy dogs, an animal control officer, the devoted human partner of a search and rescue dog, and two wildlife rehabilitators have in common? First of all, they were guest speakers for the Teen Trainers program held in July and early August. Second, all of them talked about how they devote part of their lives to better the lives of non-human animals and people as well. And third, they were all able to hold the attention of eight to ten teenagers for more than a half an hour.

Exit: Summer Research

First of all, I would like to thank all individuals and organizations involved in my participation in this year’s Summer Research program. I thoroughly enjoyed the time spent in lab.  I have grown tremendously as a researcher during that time.  My confidence in myself and my ability to become a better, more experienced student is affirmed and I readily await the new school year.
