The last week at Cambridge was by far my favorite, academically. In both The British are Coming to Stop Insurgencies and The British Approach to War and Strategic Studies we discussed the global shift from conventional warfare to asymmetric conflicts and the shift from “old terrorism” to “new terrorism.”

Cambridge >>> Oxford & Other Things We Learned This Weekend.

Hi hello! So we just finished up week four, which is sad because I’m just not ready to leave Cambridge, or the U.K. However, last weekend we were invited to Hertford College at Oxford University for a tea, info session, and a gala dinner. All of which were extremely fun. So shoutout to Oxford for being hospitable.

Abstract: Warfare, Insurgencies, and Cambridge

Hi! My name is Maggie Dene! I’m a sophomore and a Government major. In July, I will be traveling to England to participate in William and Mary’s Cambridge summer study abroad at Christ’s College alongside Professor Kathryn Floyd. During the program, I will be taking the classes The British Strategic Approach to Warfare and The British are Coming…to Stop Insurgencies. After taking a Government class titled Terrorism and Insurgencies with Professor Floyd during my freshman fall, I realized my passion for war and conflict studies and am excited to continue my studies at Cambridge.
