Abstract: Embryonic ethanol exposure in the zebrafish: Effects on learning and memory

Hello everyone! My name is Alexander Williams and I am currently a sophomore at the College. This summer, I look forward to working with Professor Hunt in her zebrafish research lab. My project seeks to examine the effects of Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) in terms of its effects on learning and memory in the zebrafish. For psychology and neuroscience research, rats are typically used as a model system for research of this nature, so why use the zebrafish?
